  • With interest in blockchain not slowing down, blockchain company Ripple want to help support industry growth and in particular students

 

  • As one of the companies from the start of the blockchain boom, Ripple recently announced their University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) on their website 

 

  • UBRI is a collaboration effort together with top universities to ”…support and accelerate academic research, technical development and innovation in blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital payments”

 

  • Ripple will commit over $50 million in funding to 17 top universities around the world, which includes CITP at Princeton, CSAIL at MIT, Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), UCL (University College London), University of Nicosia (Cyprus) and more

 

  • As part of Ripple’s partnership with MIT, Ripple will be involved with the university’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Labs’ new FinTech initiative and work with groups on blockchain, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity and global payments.
