Google To Donate $25 Million to AI Projects

  • Google.org (Google’s non-profit) is launching a new program called AI (Artificial Intelligence) for Social Good, applying AI to help solve a wider range of problems

 

  • As part of AI for Social Good, Google is also launching its Google AI Impact Challenge; ”a global call for nonprofits, academics, and social enterprises from around the world to submit proposals on how they could use AI to help address some of the world’s greatest social, humanitarian and environmental problems”

 

  • Google.org will help selected organisations make their ideas a reality using Google AI experts, Google Cloud consulting and funding from an allocated $25 million funding pool

 

  • Google’s AI technology has already helped locate endangered whales, analyse infant health, carry out flood predictions and much more.
