A group of Oxford academics are launching the world’s first decentralized university – Woolf
The aim is to reinvent traditional education and make it available to people worldwide and address problems such as unemployment, high student debts etc.
The borderless decentralized blockchain system, along with the help of smart contracts will help ”reduce bureaucracy, lower tuition costs, secure teaching salaries, and increase the time that students interact with professors”
Woolf want to help connect students and teachers, and describes themselves as the Airbnb of degree courses for students
The first college on the Woolf network, Ambrose, will be formed by academics from the University of Oxford.
